Verlengstawe word gemaak deur hol boorstaal.Hierdie hol gat word gewoonlik spoelgat genoem, wat gebruik word vir die oordrag van water of lug tydens boor.
En die drade kan gebruik word om koppelings, skagte, koppelings of stukkies te verbind.
Liggaams tipe:
Daar is twee vorms van verlengstawe, ronde tipe en seskantige tipe.
Seshoekstawe is meer rigied, swaarder en dra energie doeltreffender oor, terwyl spoeling toeneem.
Ronde stawe is oor die algemeen ligter as seskantige stawe en word gewoonlik in verlengingsboortoepassings gebruik.
